Christopher Ruffini, M.D.
Dr. Christopher Ruffini received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Lafayette College
in Pennsylvania. After receiving his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College in
Philadelphia, Dr. Ruffini went on to complete his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at
Presbyterian Medical Center and his Residency in Internal Medicine at Lankenau
Amy Patrick, M.D.
Dr. Patrick has been practicing gastroenterology in Delaware for 14 years and is one
of the founding members of MAGIC. She is a graduate of Vassar College and the
University of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine
residency and gastroenterology fellowship training at the Graduate Hospital of the
University of Pennsylvania, and is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Patrick and
her physician husband are also busy raising two children.
Scott Meyerson, M.D.
Dr. Meyerson joined Mid-Atlantic G.l. Consultants in 1998. Graduating with
honors from the University of Pennsylvania, he then earned his Medical Degree from
Temple University. After finishing his Internal Medicine Residency at Cooper Hospital/
University Medical Center, Dr. Meyerson completed a three year Gastroenterology
Fellowship at Wayne State University.
Hasan Ali, M.D.
Dr. Ali completed medical school in India, where he was noted the best outgoing
student from his class. He then went on to complete his Residency in Internal
Medicine, receiving a gold medal, followed by a Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
Prasad Kanchana, M.D.
Dr. Kanchana graduated from Mysore Medical School, India with honors. He completed
his Residency in Internal Medicine from State University of NY Stony Brook. Dr
Kanchana completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology from Albert
Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia. He holds the title of Clinical Assistant Professor
of Medicine, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia.
Gaurav Jain, M.D.
Dr. Jain graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University. He
received his Medical Degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He
completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts and
completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Yale University Norwalk Hospital.
Jared Hossack, M.D.
Dr. Hossack joined MAGIC in August 2009 after completing his GI fellowship at the
University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was appointed the chief fellow in his
final year. He completed his residency training at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical
Center in Boston, a Harvard-affiliated hospital. Prior to residency, he earned a joint
MD/MBA degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and a BS degree from
Duke University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
Grace Goracci, M.D.
Dr. Goracci joined MAGIC in December 2009 after more than 15 years of GI practice
experience.Dr. Goracci received her MD degree at Jefferson Medical College and
completed her IM residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, both in
Philadelphia. She completed a three year GI Fellowship at the Combined NIH-
Georgetown University-VA Program in Bethesda, Maryland. She has maintained board
certification in Gastroenterology since 1991.
Christine Herdman, MD
Christine Manley Herdman, M.D., earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from
Georgetown University and earned her medical degree from the Jefferson Medical
College at Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Herdman completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at
the Christiana Care Health System. She completed a fellowship at Thomas Jefferson
