What is an Endo-surgical Center?
At Mid-Atlantic Endoscopy Center we provide our patients with
endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy, esophageal dilatation,
Colonoscopy and polypectomy which visualize and treat conditions of the
esophagus, stomach or small and large intestines without the need or
inconvenience of a hospital stay. We offer patients a more convenient,
comfortable and safe alternative for their GI needs.
Meeting Your Insurance Needs
We understand the important role health insurance plays in our patients’ medical care. In addition to
Medicare, we accept most major insurance plans.

At the Center we utilize today’s most advanced medical technology and equipment to provide you with
the highest quality of care.
Our 5,600 square foot state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center offers a fully equipped operating
room, a recovery room, a spacious waiting room, and a full array of amenities to make all of our patients
feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit.
Our center has a staff of board-certified physician anesthesiologists and certified nurse anesthetists
dedicated to your safety and comfort during your procedure. Experienced licensed registered nurses
and medical endoscopy technicians assist your physician and will make your stay at our center
comfortable and enjoyable.

Preparing for Your Procedure
Prior to your scheduled procedure, your physician will provide you with specific instructions on how to
prepare yourself for your upcoming procedure. If you have any questions concerning this preparation,
please do not hesitate to call your doctor’s office.
Please plan to arrive on time. Your procedure and subsequent recovery time usually take approximately
two hours. Due to the sedation you will receive prior to your procedure, you will not be permitted to drive
yourself home and should make plans for someone to either accompany you or pick you up afterwards.
You will receive a follow-up telephone call after your procedure from one of our Endoscopy nurses. If you
have any questions or concerns at any time, please do not hesitate to call your doctor.
On the day of your procedure please bring the following:
• Insurance Card(s)
• Any required referrals
• A list of all medications you are taking with doses including nonprescription and herbals
• Wear loose clothing
• Do not wear jewelry
• Do not wear makeup
• Do not bring valuable
